SHAKTI PEETHAS
Devi or Shakti (Mother Goddess) is the supreme mother of creation. Also known as the Great Mother Divine. Shakti are worshiped in the Indian Shakti Peethas and also in various temples. Quotes are all forms of Aadi Shakti Devi. Sati wife of Shiva. Parvati is the reincarnation of Sati.
When King Daksha (father of Sati) organized a yagna but he did not invite Shiva and Sati. But Sati went there and the king insulted Lord Shiva. Sati immolated.
